Home to the San Francisco 49ers, California’s Great America, Intel, McAfee, and the oldest college in California; Santa Clara University. Santa Clara is the ninth most populous city in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1777 as a Spanish Mission, Santa Clara has since become a rapidly growing city in the interior of Silicon Valley.
